CaribJet UK was formed in 1982  (later became a Limited  company) and was the undisputed largest wholesaler in terms of revenue for LIAT – the Caribbean Airline outside of the Caribbean. During that time CaribJet was famous for promoting many obscure airlines who did not have a UK office and offered a ticketing facility and distributed this service to other Travel Agents on a wholesale basis. Airlines such as Leisure Air, AOM French Airlines, RegionAir, Air Caribbean and Air Jamaica were the backbone of CaribJet’s business.

Once Air Jamaica relaunched airbus flights to the UK and CaribJet became IATA, route deals projecting CaribJet as a professional airline consolidator was cemented. CaribJet had route deal contracts on BWIA, Air Jamaica, Cubana, Mexicana, Air Namibia, Air India, bmi, Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Nigeria, Bellview, Ghana Airways, LIAT, Caribbean Star, Caledonian, JMC, XL Airways, Laker Airways, Continental Airlines, Air Europa, Malaysian Airlnes.

CaribJet relocated its main business in Grenada in 2006 after negotiating to take over Carin Travel. The company in Grenada is now known as CaribJet Carin Travel, and trades as CaribJet and Carib Tours.

CaribJet’s managers, all with two decades of airline background from operations to ticketing, sales and marketing and one also has a commercial pilots license. In terms of skill, CaribJet are recognised as the Premier representation company in Grenada.

Carin Travel was opened by Carin Otway in Mississauga, Canada in 1974. Two years later a branch was opened in Young Street, Toronto.

In 1978 The first independent IATA agency was opened in Grenada. Carin Travel became renowned for bringing in tour operators who used Barbados and Trinidad as their gateway and carried tourists to Grenada on LIAT.

Carin Travel and its brand, Carib Tours were the first to be appointed by Kuoni, Speedbird Holidays and BA Holidays. From Germany, ITS, Liethold Tours from Freibung and KLM, Delta and PanAm appointments date back to the 80’s.

Rapid expansion as a leading IATA world-wide air ticket specialist saw agency appointments of airlines such as Wardair, Adventure Tours, Signature Vacations and Canada3000 Airlines, Zoom Airlines, Air Transat, GG Tours and a host of adhoc operators use Carin Travel and Carib Tours for its excellent representation services.

Currently CaribJet in Grenada are general sales agents and airport representatives for Condor German Airlines, Air Canada Vacations, Air Transat, Sunwing, Conviasa Venezuelan Airlines, Monarch Airlines/Golden Caribbean, GG Tours and Air China. We offer international e-ticketing on 195 airlines. CaribJet Grenada has won awards from Virgin Atlantic and LIAT for outstanding sales twice amongst other Airlines for excellence.

In the UK , Cubana, Air Europa and Monarch Airlines Caribbean flights are the main products. The UK office specializes in worldwide routings, complex stopovers and round-the-world fares. Malaysian Airlines are our favourite to the Far East/Austrailia and New Zealand.
